Former tennis star and BBC pundit Eugenie Bouchard surprised her followers by dressing up as pop icon Britney Spears for her Halloween costume this season.

The athlete, who retired in 2025, wore a green top paired with black shorts showing her midriff, complete with dazzling white boots, a microphone, and a toy orange snake.

This outfit replicated the look pop superstar Britney wore 25 years ago at the MTV Video Music Awards while performing "I'm a Slave 4 U", where she danced with a real 25-pound albino Burmese python around her neck.

Britney previously shared how truly terrified she felt holding that reptile on stage despite looking confident.

Bouchard avoided any danger by using a toy snake, accompanying her photos with the caption, "Honouring an icon 1/3."

A number of her 2.2 million followers reacted in the comments section of the post.

One fan wrote, "SO so good."

A second stated, "Obsessed."

A third commented, "Insane!!!!"

Another supporter posted, "Slay."

Fellow athletes also expressed admiration, as tennis player Bianca Vanessa wrote, "R u kidding meeeeee."

Gymnast and social media star Livvy Dunne added, "Yupppp."
