A former WWE wrestler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and refusing a roadside test.

Amber "Nova" Flora, 34, was handcuffed by Orlando police in the early hours of Friday, jail records show.

Police said the ex-NXT and AEW competitor was detained for DUI and for refusing to submit to a test.

Her bail was set at £1,500 after the 5.40 am arrest.

Flora was freed five hours later after posting bail for two counts.

She appeared in court on Saturday and is scheduled to return for a hearing on Monday, according to TMZ.

Born in New Jersey, the athlete rose to prominence in the SHINE Wrestling circuit.

She captured the Nova Championship in 2023.

Prior to that, she had a brief run on WWE's NXT program and also worked for rival promotion AEW.

Flora's NXT debut occurred on August 8, 2018 against Nikki Cross.

In January 2019, she lost as part of a heel tag team with Rebel to Io Shirai and Kairi Sane.

She debuted for SHINE by beating Chelsea Durden at the World Wrestling Network on December 10, 2023.

At the Schneider Memorial Battle For The Belts, Nova defeated Ivelisse to win the Shine Nova Championship for the first time.

Her most recent wrestling match was on September 19.

Before wrestling, the ex-WWE star worked as an emergency medical technician.

She studied at the Technical College of the Lowcountry in South Carolina.
