Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Akamatsu Shuichi took part in a ribbon-cutting event on Monday for the newly finished link road project in Village Numbal, Tehsil Murree, Punjab.

Al Mezan Islamic Model School carried out the work. The group focuses on aiding vulnerable groups in Pakistan via education, social development, and capacity building.

Financial backing for the initiative came from the Japanese government via its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Program, totaling USD 64,528.

Al Mezan Islamic Model School finished building the route, which features a sturdy concrete link road and protective culverts across local streams, substituting for fragile dirt tracks and boosting flood resistance.

Showing high community involvement, local citizens and the school provided extra assets, such as land worth PKR 4.5 million, local stone supplies, and technical oversight.

This undertaking addresses pressing demands for dependable and secure road transit in Village Numbal, where poor facilities previously hampered everyday movement and created heavy dangers during crises.

The upgraded path allows over 500 pupils to reach classes securely without wading through flood-prone streams. It additionally aids 2,540 neighborhood inhabitants by easing travel to medical centers and shops.

Ambassador Akamatsu praised the school for finishing the undertaking despite difficult geography and severe climate, and restated Japan dedication to aiding Pakistan lasting growth.

He stated his wish that the pathway will act as a permanent mark of the enduring ties and teamwork between Pakistan and Japan.
