Islamabad Traffic Police announced a diversion scheme for the Kashmir Day Walk set for October 27, with changes taking effect at 7 AM and remaining until the walk ends.

The police warned that traffic on several major streets will be disrupted and asked motorists to follow the recommended detours.

Under the plan, Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat will be closed from the Secretariat to France Turn, with Margalla Road offered as an alternative.

From Dhoke Dhokri Chowk near Serena Hotel to France Turn, traffic will also be rerouted; drivers can use Embassy Road and Ataturk Road.

Similarly, the stretch from Shams Picket to Radio Pakistan will see diversions, and motorists are advised to take Bari Imam and Third Avenue.

Vehicles travelling from FBR Chowk and Waheed Shaheed Chowk toward the Secretariat will encounter diversions, with Margalla Road suggested as a substitute route.

Additionally, traffic between NADRA Headquarters and Radio Pakistan Chowk will be diverted, and commuters should use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road.

The department also prepared a special parking arrangement for participants of the Kashmir Day Walk.

Authorities urged the public to obey police directions and use the designated alternate routes to keep traffic flowing smoothly during the event.
