Former manager Sean Dyche has opened up regarding his dismissal from Nottingham Forest following their recent defeat against Brentford.
The 55-year-old compared his own exit to that of 52-year-old Oliver Glasner, who recently challenged Forest executives to fire him as pressure builds at the club.
Writing on Threads after his former team dropped a 2-0 match against the Bees at the Gtech Community Stadium, Dyche urged supporters to give Glasner more time in charge.
He argued that club officials had acted too hastily when firing him back in February.
Dyche stated, "Nottingham Forest are still finding the goals hard to come by. And I had it along with my staff, we scored but nowhere near what the metrics were telling us. So not enough to stay in our job?"
He added, "We had 35 efforts at goal [versus] wolves and yet 0-0 result and culminated in myself [and] staff being sacked. I hope Oliver is given more time and the fans stay with him and the players stand up and be counted?????"
Dyche could return to the Premier League nine months after his Forest departure, as Crystal Palace weigh up a move to replace Pierre Sage.
The English coach has stayed active on social media since launching an Instagram profile in May, building a following among fans.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest has seen a constant churn of managers, bringing in Glasner ahead of the 2026-27 campaign to succeed Vitor Pereira as their fifth boss in two years.
The Austrian manager faces intense pressure with the team sitting 19th in the Premier League table, having secured only a single victory against Aston Villa in September.
Despite these struggles, Glasner projected confidence after his latest defeat, hinting that the club faces deeper problems beyond the head coach position.
Glasner stated, "There is no other way. And if I don't have the freedom, they have to sack me. That's it."
The Forest manager also mentioned plans for tactical adjustments after admitting he was too patient with the squad.
He hopes the team can reverse their poor form before hosting Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday.
