Judges at the Sykes Gem Awards2026 selected Stonerush Lakes in Lanreath, South Cornwall, as the top holiday park in the United Kingdom. Occupying 28 acres, the property features various timber-clad, detached accommodation options.
Accommodations range from one to three bedrooms. Guests can select units featuring private hot tubs, cinema rooms, spa facilities, or outlooks toward the water and surrounding hillsides.
The Old Mill Bar and Restaurant sits beside the water on the grounds, serving dishes prepared with regional ingredients. Visitors can dine on the outdoor patio during warm weather or relax by the indoor fireplace during chilly winter months. The property also welcomes dogs.
Travelers seeking an excursion can visit Looe or Polperro, located about eight miles away. Several secluded coastal spots, including Lansallos Cove, Lantic Bay, and Talland Bay, are reachable within a 15 to 25 minute drive.
Owner Silvano Geranio stated, "We are absolutely delighted to be named Holiday Park of the Year in the Sykes Gems Awards." He added, "Personally, I feel incredibly proud to own a park that has received this recognition, but more than anything, I am delighted for the team."
Guests frequently praise the tranquil atmosphere of the grounds. One visitor called it "My idea of paradise." Another stated, "We over looked the lakes which has an abundance of wildlife so quiet and peaceful and relaxing." A third reviewer mentioned, "It is the ultimate relax."
A seven-night stay in a lodge accommodating up to four individuals costs £477, equating to £17 per person per night.
