British comedian Bill Bailey features in a comical new nature travel documentary located inside a video game. The British funnyman guides players through Azeroth, the fantasy realm featured in the popular game World of Warcraft.

Planet Azeroth is the title of Bill's new three-part series, which viewers can watch for free on YouTube. Episode one features Bill changing into a strong Dwarven adventurer.

He investigates several famous locations from the game, such as the green Elwynn Forest, the Orc territory of Durotar, and the creepy Tirisfal Glades. These videos launch to mark the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4, 2026.

This release reimagines the original World of Warcraft title that debuted in 2004, keeping the same massive open world while adding new features. Comedian Bill stated, “I've always been fascinated by the natural world, but nothing quite prepares you for Azeroth.”

He added, “The creatures are extraordinary, the landscapes are stunning and, unlike many other nature documentaries I've been involved in, I managed to stay dry and not get bitten by something. It was enormous fun exploring this strange and wonderful world.”

The project promises to traverse the wildest corners of Azeroth and is labeled as a documentary gone rogue. It features Bill examining bizarre creatures in Azeroth, including Kobolds and Murlocs.

Viewers can stream the first episode immediately, while the second installment arrives on October 31. The third and concluding episode releases on the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel on November 1.

Warcraft fans can therefore watch all three parts prior to the release of World of Warcraft: Forever three days later. Warcraft executive producer Holly Longdale stated, “For more than 20 years, players have fallen in love with Azeroth itself.”

She continued, “Its landscapes, mysteries, creatures, and the stories hidden around every corner. World of Warcraft: Forever is our chance to revisit that world through fresh eyes, and World of Warcraft: Planet Azeroth captures that spirit perfectly.”

Longdale also mentioned, “Bill's curiosity, humour, and genuine sense of wonder make him the ideal guide to a world that has been home to millions of players. While also providing a warm introduction for those discovering Azeroth for the very first time.”

The initial World of Warcraft game came out on November 23, 2004, gaining tens of millions of players. Blizzard Entertainment developed the title, which forms part of gaming company Activision Blizzard and is currently owned by the Xbox brand belonging to Microsoft.
