A Blinkit delivery employee who used a bicycle for his orders in New Delhi became emotional after a welfare scheme run by Anant Ambani's organization handed him an electric scooter. Footage of Sujit's reaction and his hug with volunteer Hussain Mansuri has gone viral on social platforms.

A roadside chat about affordability

The clip shows Mansuri stopping Sujit on a street, asking his name, and probing why he still delivered on a bike. Sujit replied that he used whatever transport he could find.

When Mansuri inquired why Sujit hadn't bought a scooter, Sujit said his income was too low to manage the purchase. After the talk, Mansuri requested that Sujit finish his current order before taking him elsewhere.

The blindfolded surprise

At the new spot, Sujit was blindfolded and guided toward an electric scooter hidden under a red sheet. When the blindfold was removed and he saw the vehicle, tears of joy fell as he embraced Mansuri.

Sujit admitted he never thought he would own such a vehicle. He then asked Mansuri to sit on the scooter first, snapped a photo, and said the image and the moment would stay with him.

Assistance for low-income gig laborers

The scooter was given at no cost via the campaign organized by Ambani's foundation. The program seeks to reduce daily hardships for low-income gig workers and improve their livelihood options.
