A digital examination marking system was launched by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi to simplify answer sheet evaluation throughout its area.
On Wednesday, Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood verified the deployment following mock drills that included education officers, college principals, and examination controllers from the division, based on an official press release.
Paper setting, answer sheet printing, trimming, scanning, and online evaluation are combined inside a centralized digital dashboard under the new framework. Electronic candidate sheets, attendance tracking via QR codes, and high-speed scanning of answer booklets are also included.
Candidate and invigilation staff attendance will be verified using QR codes, and real-time video surveillance at examination centers will be handled by the board's Command and Control System.
District-level training sessions for teaching faculty will start right away to ready staff for the updated marking methods before upcoming board examinations, a board spokesperson stated. The board intends to boost examination process efficiency and monitoring via the digital platform.
