Chelsea have been linked with a January signing of 21-year-old defender Jacobo Ramon, who played a key role in Como's Champions League win over Manchester United.
Ramon joined the Serie A side in the summer of 2025 from Real Madrid and has helped the Lombardy club reach the UCL after qualifying last season.
The Daily Mail reports that his displays have attracted the Blues, who recall him from his time under Xabi Alonso in Madrid's youth ranks.
United and Arsenal are also said to be monitoring the Spain U21 international.
A move could be complicated by Real Madrid's 50 per cent sell-on clause and a buy-back clause, though the latter's fee remains undisclosed.
Chelsea have reportedly pursued Ramon since January 2025, after missing out on Jeremy Jacquet, who went to Liverpool.
Ramon made a mistake in Como's 3-1 Serie A win over Torino but later headed the equaliser, prompting manager Cesc Fabregas to praise his resilience.
Fabregas said: "There were many chances, we were doing so much very well and didn't deserve to be trailing. Maybe we wouldn't have won last season, but we have more solutions now. That must not make us relax, but instead focus on what we still need to improve. I admired the resilience, for example Jacobo Ramon made a serious error, but he kept his head and then scored the equaliser. This is football for me, people with character who make mistakes, but then keep going and don't let the fear grip them."
Chelsea's defensive options were hit by Maxence Lacroix's hamstring injury in the Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool; Lacroix has logged 634 Premier League minutes this season, the most of any Blues defender.
