Estevao, the 19-year-old Chelsea winger, has been added to Brazil's national team roster, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The call came less than 48 hours after Xabi Alonso left him out of the squad for the Liverpool match.
During the Carabao Cup defeat at Anfield, the teenager remained on the bench and has logged only 163 minutes under Ancelotti, the former Bayer Leverkusen coach.
Most of his playing time this season came in the League Cup, making his omission for the Liverpool game surprising.
Nevertheless, Ancelotti has not let the lack of minutes stop him from selecting Estevao for international duty.
Estevao will join the Seleção for friendly fixtures against Japan and Singapore in November.
At 67, Ancelotti defended the choice, stating the winger still offers value to the national side.
He said: "We hope he can show all the quality he has. We'll keep an eye on him.
"If he doesn't play a single minute at Chelsea, we'll keep an eye on him until the day we think he's no longer useful for the national team."
Other Premier League players named in Brazil's squad include Bournemouth's Ryan, Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhães and Bruno Guimarães, as well as Manchester City's Victor Reis and Allan.
Nottingham Forest defender Jair Cunha and Manchester United midfielder Andrey Santos were also selected.
Estevao may face a decision about his future at Chelsea before the January transfer window, with a possible move away from Stamford Bridge being discussed.
