Footie fans loudly alleged the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw was "rigged" moments after the final ball was drawn.
The draw, set for the week of December 14, took place on Wednesday night, immediately after the fourth-round clash between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield.
It produced several eye-catching match-ups.
Fleetwood Town, who eliminated reigning Premier League champions Arsenal, will meet the winner of the Everton versus Newcastle fourth-round tie.
The quarter-finals also include two all-Premier League games: Liverpool versus Bournemouth at Anfield and Crystal Palace hosting Sunderland at Selhurst Park.
The final tie sees Championship hopeful Bradford City travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City.
While many supporters were pleased with the fixtures, a number complained, claiming City's draw against Bradford proved the process was "rigged".
One user on X wrote, "City need 115 charges relating to rigged league cup draws alone."

A Liverpool fan said, "The EFL Cup is rigged. Ofc they don't want City to face us."
Another added, "Rigged bulls**t to benefit Man City."
One remarked, "What a surpriseeeeee. Rigged draw rigged competition city always getting lower league opponents 🤡 114."
Another chimed in, "Of course City get Bradford at home draw totally ain't rigged."
The fans alleging a rigged draw in City's favour have offered no evidence to back their claims.
The draw, conducted live on Sky Sports, involved balls being mixed before being drawn by Conor Coady and Graeme Le Saux, and was not fixed.
Focus on City follows their recent guilty verdict for over 100 breaches of Premier League financial rules, a decision they have appealed and hope to overturn.
