Four relatives - three brothers and their father - died following the consumption of allegedly contaminated rice pudding (kheer) in Kanghanpur, Tehsil Chunian, Kasur district.

Reports say five family members became sick after eating a bowl of kheer in Khaneke Perike village near Kanghanpur.

The victims were identified as 25-year-old Nazim Ali, 28-year-old Asif Ali, 15-year-old Amanat Ali and their 40-year-old father, Qasim Ali.

Nazim Ali was the first to pass away while being treated at Lahore General Hospital; his three relatives died subsequently.

According to reports, Qasim Ali, his wife Hasna Bibi and their three sons fell ill after the rice pudding was consumed, prompting the family's transfer to Lahore for medical care.

Early information suggests a lizard may have fallen into the kheer, possibly contaminating it, though this has not been independently verified.

Hasna Bibi's condition was also reported as critical at the time of reporting.
