Templegate provides his top selections for Friday's racing action across the various cards.
KINGSTON NARCISSUS (3.35 Wetherby, nap)
Can turn three seconds into a win at Wetherby. He was chinned right on the line in the competitive Summer Plate at Market Rasen last time. That was a cracking effort after he was hampered and had to build his momentum again. It followed close seconds at Uttoxeter and Worcester after he won by 17 lengths on chase debut at Hexham. He has a lot more to offer and Dan Skelton is banging in the winners as usual.
AEGEAN PRINCE (2.20 Newmarket, nb)
Can take the St Simon Stakes at Newmarket. He has improved this season and enjoyed soft ground when taking the Old Borough Cup on handicap debut at Haydock last time. That was a Group-class performance and there should be enough give underfoot today to bring out his best again.
CHARLES DARNAY (3.00 Wetherby, treble)
James Owen does well with Flat recruits going over hurdles and can land another success here. He has some useful handicap form on the level over 1m4f so should have no problem staying. He's fit from a good Newmarket third last month and should make a nice hurdler.
