Automotive brand JAECOO stated that the official ex-factory price for the all-electric J5 EV in Pakistan will be made public on November 6. Local assembly of this electric SUV takes place at the NexGen Auto plant situated in Faisalabad, positioning the vehicle to enter the expanding domestic electric vehicle market.
Public exposure for the J5 EV happened during the Pakistan Auto Show held at the Expo Centre Lahore in September. Production of the inaugural locally assembled model finished in October, placing the SUV among recent entries in the country's local electric vehicle sector.
Equipment on the electric SUV consists of a panoramic roof, ventilated seats, rear air vents, mobile charging ports, and a 540-degree camera setup. Compatibility with fast DC charging, home charging, and vehicle-to-load technology delivering a 3.3kW output enables operators to run external electrical devices.
The manufacturer stated that the J5 EV provides a driving range adequate for everyday travel and certain intercity trips, accompanied by an eight-year battery warranty. Disclosures regarding the official price, reservation procedures, and delivery timelines will follow the November 6 announcement.
Assembly of the vehicle occurs alongside other OMODA and JAECOO variants, such as the J5 HEV and J7 PHEV. The firm indicated that domestic manufacturing operations and dealership channels will maintain vehicle supply, replacement parts, and maintenance support across Pakistan.
