Hull fought hard to secure a fifth Premier League draw from seven winless matches by tying 2-2 with Ipswich on Saturday 31 October.

The Tigers initially faced a difficult situation when Florentino scored his first goal in English football to give Ipswich the lead in the 22nd minute.

With 13 defeats on Halloween, they hold the most losses of any side in Football League history.

However, Hull bounced back after the break with goals from Tim Iroegbunam and Oli McBurnie, with McBurnie scoring for the second successive game to put the hosts ahead.

Gary O'Neil's side ultimately claimed a point thanks to a brilliant strike from Julio Enciso.

Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis survived a scare in the 16th minute when he struggled to clear his box, narrowly nudging the ball away before Emersonn could capitalize.

The hosts received another reprieve in the 34th minute when Enciso headed in from close range following a corner, but the referee disallowed the goal due to a foul by Abdul Fatawu on McBurnie.

Summer signing Florentino, who joined permanently after leaving relegated Burnley following a season-long loan from Benfica, justified a portion of his £16 million fee with his opening goal.

Abdoul Ouattara spotted the Portuguese midfielder, who drove his shot past Konstantinos Tzolakis at the near post.

Hull failed to register a shot on target in the first half for the third time this term, but midfielder Iroegbunam leveled the score in the 58th minute with his first Premier League goal.

Boss Sergej Jakirovic had replaced centre-back John Egan with Matt Crooks to add physical strength to the midfield.

The tactical change paid off as Iroegbunam received a pass from McBurnie on the right, advanced without pressure, and beat visiting goalkeeper Christian Walton.

The concession meant Ipswich extended their wait for a top-flight clean sheet to 28 games, dating back to December 2024 against Chelsea.

Hull took the lead ten minutes later after Florentino fouled Mohamed Belloumi, allowing McBurnie to score into the corner following his goal against Brentford the previous weekend.

Enciso secured the draw with the fourth goal of the match, collecting the ball 30 yards out, beating defenders with clever footwork, and curling a shot into the top corner.

Hull nearly grabbed their first victory since August late in the game, but visiting goalkeeper Christian Walton got a stretching touch to deny Brooke Norton-Cuffy.
