On Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported that the Board of Secondary Education Karachi labeled a social media press release regarding ninth-grade results as fake, while also vowing legal action against the culprits.

According to the fabricated notice, a technical glitch in the computer system of the board led to score mistakes while compiling the outcomes.

A representative for the board refuted this assertion, stating that reports of a computer malfunction or score inaccuracies are completely false.

Board Chairman Professor Musharraf Ali Rajput also repudiated a remark linked to him, explaining that fraudsters exploited the official letterhead and name of the board to cause panic among parents and students.

The representative added that authorities will pursue severe legal consequences against the individuals who drafted and distributed the bogus press statement online.

Parents, students, and journalists were advised to stop spreading unconfirmed details and check only the official Facebook page and website of the board for verified announcements.
