Traffic police in Lahore identified that Muhammad Usman is listed as the owner of 2,354 vehicles, with thousands of unpaid traffic fines attached to them.
The discovery occurred during a routine inspection on Hall Road when officers stopped a motorcycle suspected of having a tampered number plate. A registration check showed the unusually high number of vehicles tied to the same individual.
Reports indicate the vehicles have accrued 2,813 electronic traffic challans amounting to Rs 2,866,900, roughly Rs 28.7 lakh.
Police seized the motorcycle and transferred it to Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station. The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has been notified to assist in determining the true owner of the vehicle.
Authorities have not clarified how so many vehicles ended up registered under one name nor confirmed if the named citizen actually owns them all.
After the finding, Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi ordered tighter inspections for altered number plates and other registration breaches. The incident has highlighted concerns over vehicle ownership records and the need for proper verification.
