Darts star Luke Littler has promised to give away his £501,000 prize to charity should he manage to stay undefeated against 20 amateur opponents in Manchester tonight.
Known as The Nuke, the 19-year-old will star in Friday's live event broadcast globally on Netflix to tens of millions of viewers.
Any part-time player who beats Littler in a single-leg shoot-out starting from 501 points and finishing on a double will claim the £501,000 prize.
The sum represents life-changing money for any of the unknown competitors taking part.
Should Littler remain unbeaten through the entire evening without any breaks in a roll-on, roll-off format, he qualifies to collect the cash.
The amount equals half the £1 million he secured for winning his second world title on January 3 at Ally Pally.
Both Netflix and Littler verified this detail, bringing extra stakes to the upcoming darts exhibition.
The setup guarantees the world number one will play at his best to prevent any amateur from taking the large cheque from MC John McDonald.
During an appearance on ITV show Good Morning Britain, Littler mentioned he expects an appearance fee for the evening and intends to send the funds to a worthy cause.
Littler, who has accumulated millions through prize money and sponsorships, stated, "It's going to be some fun."
He added, "Either I get the money, give it to charity, or someone walks home with half a million quid."
He also noted, "Of course, it is competitive, it is going to take a lot out of me. But it will be one of my best achievements so far."
Every challenger will compete against Littler in a bull-off to determine who throws first.
Twenty-four individuals will be present at the venue, though that group reduces to 20.
Sixteen competitors will be placed into four seeded pots based on increasing difficulty, while random draws determine who plays the 15-time major winner.
Viewers can vote using their remote controls to select from the eight most experienced challengers, leaving the final four throwers up to the audience.
Amateurs will receive a full professional stage experience featuring a custom shirt, a darts nickname, and a walk-on song, while spectators at Manchester Central will have access to alcohol to boost the atmosphere.
Former England footballer Gary Lineker will host the programme, accompanied by statistics expert Richard Osman from the BBC quiz show Pointless as an analyst.
Prominent opponents Littler might encounter include top female player Fallon Sherrock and 15-year-old WDF World Championship finalist Mitchell Lawrie.
