Amos Nadeem has taken over as the chief executive officer of Skyrooms, a subsidiary of PIA Holding, following approval from the Board of Directors. Nadeem previously worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Pakistan International Airlines.
Insiders indicated that the board dismissed Asim Ahmed from his position as General Manager of Airport Hotel. Irfan Ahmed Khan received temporary additional responsibility for the role, and Ahmed must report back to the airline right away.
In a separate development, Pakistan International Airlines intends to bring four planes into its fleet as part of operational growth and route restarts. Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Osama Sarwar shared this strategy during a Friday meeting of the National Assembly.
Sarwar stated that the initial plane starts flying on November 1, and the second arrives on November 15. The airline will determine where the second plane flies after it lands.
Two additional planes will enter the fleet in January 2027 and fly out of Karachi, according to Sarwar. This growth enables the carrier to service more paths as it rebuilds global connections, such as flights to the United Kingdom.
