Top American golfers head to Mexico for a pair of sunny weeks to close out the PGA Tour season, with dual US Open champion Wyndham Clark serving as the main attraction this week.
Clark stands as the 12-1 clear favorite to secure his fourth victory of the year at the Mexico Open, and on paper, the world No 5 appears superior to his competitors.
However, his past two appearances indicate his energy is running low following his brilliant 2026 season.
Clark placed ahead of just six competitors in the 30-man Tour Championship, and he recorded a poor T63 finish most recently at the Baycurrent Classic.
He also landed outside the top 20 during his last appearance at this tournament three years ago, making him another favorite worth opposing.

Mexico Open 2026 betting tips
Doug Ghim could offer the best value among the competitors at 18-1, even though the 30-year-old American is still seeking his initial PGA Tour victory.
The former world No 1 amateur nearly secured the win earlier this month in Utah before finishing runner-up to Austin Smotherman.
That performance looks even stronger since Smotherman triumphed again in Bermuda after being featured here at 30-1, and while many competitors appear tired, Ghim still looks energetic.
He has maintained finishes inside the top 20 across his previous five starts, bringing that long-awaited first win at this level closer than ever.
Bookmakers list Tom Kim as the primary danger to Clark at approximately 16-1.
The Korean star demonstrated his comeback by winning the Asian Games title by three strokes, which secured a military service exemption, and he could prove tough to beat.
Reliable competitor Ben Griffin, who secured fourth place at this venue last year, presents a danger at 22-1, while 28-1 selection Corey Conners warrants attention following his third-place finish in Bermuda.
Yet several intriguing choices sit further down the odds list, including Mexico's top-ranked golfer, Alvaro Ortiz, priced at an appealing 100-1.
Ortiz triumphed twice on the Korn Ferry Tour to secure his PGA Tour card for 2027, and he understands this course better than most after competing here over the past four years, aiming to improve upon his previous best finish of a tied 13th place from two years ago.
Three English players sit near the top of the betting, with Marco Penge priced lowest among them at a general 22-1.
Penge has delivered encouraging displays after recovering from health struggles that affected him early in the year, but the author favors compatriots Jordan Smith and Harry Hall.
Smith has climbed leaderboards multiple times since earning his PGA Tour card late last year, contending strongly before taking a T4 finish at the Baycurrent Classic in his most recent outing.
At 40-1, he appears to be a strong each-way option, and the flat cap-wearing Hall presents similar appeal at a slightly shorter 35-1.
Hall has recorded multiple top-five finishes within his last six starts, including a tied 13th place in Utah on his latest outing, alongside course knowledge from a top-ten finish here in 2023.
