Schools and colleges in Multan, Gujranwala, Gilgit, and Sahiwal hosted cyber awareness sessions led by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to instruct students and teachers regarding online fraud, safe social media habits, and cyber harassment.
Local circles of the agency ran these programs following instructions from Director General NCCIA Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, drawing high attendance from both educators and pupils.
Agency personnel instructed attendees on responsible social media practices and methods for protecting against digital harassment.
Practical instruction during the meetings covered identifying malicious links, evading One-Time Password scams, steering clear of fake loan applications, and preventing financial digital crimes.
Staff members cautioned that fraudsters frequently lure targets using bogus employment prospects and phony awards to acquire funds and personal information. Attendees also received instructions on filing cybercrime grievances through helpline 1799.
Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that safeguarding youth against digital dangers stays a primary focus, adding that these educational programs will persist across the country to encourage secure online behaviors and construct a protected Digital Pakistan.
