The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority decided to examine nursery up to Grade 5 textbooks again after discovering several mistakes in the material.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz previously cleared this updated curriculum for learners up to Grade 5, scheduled for rollout in the 2027-28 school year.
Insiders reported that the upcoming books went to education specialists for error checking prior to publication. Multiple blunders emerged during this check, forcing officials to return the volumes for a fresh assessment.
Publishers pressed the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority to hand over the revised materials quickly. Private institutions start their school year on January 1, and publishing delays could mean the books remain missing into March, according to these publishers.
The Education Department stated that this evaluation will finish in one to two weeks. Representatives promised publishers that all updated books will reach the market ahead of the upcoming academic term.
