Authorities in Faisalabad are building a fresh pedestrian path beside the primary canal as part of Punjab provincial efforts to upgrade public areas and encourage wellness habits.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz released photographs showing current construction progress on the Canal Walk pedestrian route. Plans for the site show a 10-foot-wide path, green spaces, and seating benches for guests.

Local government officials intend to build pedestrian paths on both banks of the Rakh Branch Canal. Deputy Commissioner Nouman Siddique stated that comparable walking paths are planned for Jaranwala, while Samundri already features a similar amenity.
Officials are coordinating with union councils to build eight parks in areas possessing adequate land and canal access. Additionally, the Parks and Horticulture Authority checked deteriorated parks and placed them at the top of the repair list.
Another neighborhood park is undergoing rehabilitation with assistance from the Water and Sanitation Agency alongside the Planning and Development Department. Siddique mentioned that clearing at the location would finish following September 30 prior to the start of renovation activities.
The deputy commissioner reported that current construction efforts inside Jhang Bazaar and Aminpur Bazaar should finish by November's close. Officials also anticipate finishing five parking structures within seven to eight months.
Conversely, the planned parking facility at Chiniot Bazaar stays on hold. This initiative has faced postponement since 2015, and district authorities recently reopened its paperwork.
