Drivers using a newly paved route in Hyderabad, Sindh, now face electricity poles positioned directly within the traffic lanes. The corridor links the N-5 National Highway to Alamdar Chowk in Qasimabad, creating a serious hazard that locals warn might trigger a severe crash.
Road completed around the poles
Workers finished paving the route under the direction of the municipal corporation with backing from the administration of Sindh. Instead of clearing the electricity poles out of the way before starting work, crews simply paved the surface around the utility structures.
Obstructions raise accident concerns
The fresh connection joining the highway and Alamdar Chowk now features permanent hazards sitting right inside the driving path. Observers fear the setup invites a major collision because the project wrapped up without shifting the poles out of the traffic flow.
