Investigators from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency detained a male resident in Abbottabad over allegations that he published offensive material concerning his father on Facebook, according to an agency representative.
The representative explained that the individual uploaded an image of his parent on the digital network, adding the caption "Dogs" along with derogatory emojis.
This online activity triggered the agency to take action against the person.
Officers retrieved the specific Facebook profile used for the publication directly from the cellular device during the raid. Authorities filed a formal case against the individual and started legal actions.
Representatives for the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency stated that the organization maintains a strict zero-tolerance approach toward digital harassment and social media abuse.
