Islamabad Traffic Police created special pink counters across all traffic headquarters and police service centers to help women obtain official documents and traffic services more easily.

Driving licenses and character certificates are available to women through these pink counters. A spokesperson for Islamabad Traffic Police stated that the desks provide a comfortable, safe, and respectful environment for citizens.

Only female employees work at these pink counters so women can use the services comfortably. Workers have instructions from the department to handle applications from women on a priority basis.

Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan explained that the project protects the dignity, privacy, and convenience of women while improving public service accessibility.

Quality, dignified, and safe services alongside women empowerment stay top priorities for Islamabad Traffic Police, according to Khan.

Citizens were urged by the department to visit police service centers and use the new pink counter options for character certificates and traffic licensing.
