Airlink Communication Limited is rolling out its new electric bike brand, Air EV, on November 4, 2026, with customer deliveries anticipated roughly a week later.
This strategy was revealed during the firm annual general meeting, as noted in a Tuesday report by Arif Habib Limited. The decision broadens Airlink operations past mobile phones and into the electric two-wheeler sector.
These vehicles will run on replaceable lithium-ion batteries.
Company leaders plan to achieve up to 95 percent local production gradually. At first, Airlink will import the electric bikes from global partners with competitive rates before transitioning to domestic assembly. The lithium-ion power sources will be acquired domestically right from the beginning.
Additionally, Airlink established a division named Airfin to offer buy-now-pay-later financing for electric bikes, smartphones, air conditioners, and televisions. Executives anticipate this program will bolster profit margins and counter slow mobile phone demand, while monthly payment plans improve smartphone affordability against second-hand device competitors.
The business also wants to grow its home appliance revenue. Air conditioner shipments are estimated to hit 65,000 units by 2027 and 95,000 units by 2028, while television sales are forecasted at 50,000 units in 2027 and 65,000 units in 2028.
Formed initially as a private firm in January 2014, Airlink transitioned to a public limited company in April 2019. The enterprise handles importing, exporting, wholesale, retail, and distribution for technology and communication goods like tablets, laptops, and cellular phones.
Previously in July, the corporation revealed plans to build an electric bike production facility under its proprietary brand.
