Former Swansea boss Alan Sheehan shares that joining the Wales national team coaching setup has reawakened his strong ambition to lead a club team again.
The ex-Swansea manager joined the Welsh international backroom staff as an assistant and attacking set-piece coach.
Sheehan states that witnessing Bellamy's persistent intensity firsthand provided the push he needed to target frontline club management once more.
Speaking to SunSport, Sheehan said, “Working with Wales, with Craig and the staff, has given me the bug to really get back into it.”
He added, “The main thing for me now is that I want to be a No1 again.”
“I know what I want to do, I know the level I can work at, and I want to go as high as I possibly can,” Sheehan explained.
“Head coach roles have come up, but you have to get the feel of when it's right, it's right.”
“You meet clubs where you think: ‘Yes, I can build something here,’” he continued.
“And you meet others where you just don't get that feeling.”
“It's about trusting your gut and finding true alignment with the owners and sporting directors before you take that next jump.”
