Islamic financial institution BankIslami has brought on WMF Pro-Am Muay Thai World Champion Nisar Ahmed to serve as its official brand ambassador. Executives and senior leaders gathered at the corporate headquarters in Karachi for the formal agreement signing.

Originating from Killa Abdullah in Balochistan, Ahmed spent years training and competing prior to entering international competitions. Bangkok witnessed him making history in 2024 by becoming the first Pakistani to secure the World Muay Federation Pro-Amateur World Muay Thai crown. Additionally, he claims four gold medals from the National Kickboxing Championships alongside numerous other domestic and global awards.

Supporting up-and-coming sports figures throughout their development drives this collaboration for BankIslami. Ahmed will appear in nationwide advertising campaigns, community programs, and youth outreach events in his new capacity.

BankIslami President and Chief Executive Officer Imran H Shaikh stated, "Pakistan has immense talent coming from every corner of the country, and Nisar's rise from Killa Abdullah to world champion is a true reflection of it." He added, "We are honoured to play a small part in his journey and look forward to supporting him as he continues to fly Pakistan's flag around the world."

Nisar Ahmed expressed, "Representing Pakistan on the international stage is an honour, and I carry that responsibility with dignity into every fight. Pakistan has so much talent in combat sports waiting for the right opportunity, and BankIslami's support means a great deal to me and to every young fighter working towards their goals." He further mentioned, "I look forward to working with the Bank to bring more young people into the sport."

This alliance builds upon BankIslami's continuous efforts toward youth empowerment, athletic backing, and community growth within Pakistan, supporting the corporate mission of Saving Humanity from Riba.
