Vivo might expand its flagship phone series with the upcoming vivo X500s, based on a recent leak discussing a handset currently undergoing testing with a large, high refresh rate screen.

An informant posted information on Weibo about an ongoing test for a new small S iteration model. Although the tipster omitted the official product name, users in the comment section pointed to the vivo X500s designation.

Test units include a 6.85-inch flat screen offering 2K+ resolution alongside a 144Hz refresh rate, according to the leaked report. The display also features symmetrical bezels across every side.

The tipster referred to the hardware as a large-screen all-rounder, pointing toward an emphasis on screen space and well-rounded capabilities. Vivo has not issued official confirmation regarding the handset moniker or technical specifications.

This rumor surfaces while the vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max roll out globally over a month following their initial China release. Should the reports prove accurate, the X500s would introduce another expansive screen choice to the current portfolio. Information regarding the device processor, camera setup, battery capacity, release timeline, and cost has not been disclosed.
