Fallon Sherrock described her massive cash reward for defeating Luke Littler as life-changing after emerging victorious in Manchester during a Netflix special challenge.

The Queen of the Palace defeated Littler to secure the astonishing £501,000 payout, leaving the 32-year-old close to tears following the win.

Doubts had surrounded her inclusion in the event because of her past experience at the oche. Yet those concerns faded away since Sherrock never held a tour card and stopped worrying about it entirely once she collected the cheque.

The former hairdresser maintained that the financial reward represents a life-changing sum for her.

She only secured the opportunity after winning 75 per cent of the public vote in a head to head poll against German prospect Jarod Becker to determine who would face Littler.

During an exclusive conversation with SunSport, Sherrock stated, "To be fair I was more nervous about not getting the vote (than facing Littler)."

She continued, "I'll be honest, if you'd seen any videos or anything from the back room, I was shouting for people! It's not because I want Luke to lose or anything, it's because this prize money is life-changing. It's definitely going to change my life."

Sherrock added, "I feel like people think I have more money than I have, and I really haven't."

Known widely in the sport, Sherrock earned her nickname as the sole woman to win a match at the World Darts Championship.

That prominent reputation does not automatically bring in huge earnings, which made her victory over Littler even more meaningful as the two could potentially meet again at the Worlds in December.

She concluded, "I was just egging everyone on, especially some of my best friends Lauren (Bloomfield) and Katie (Sheldon). I'm just so happy right now because I've done it for us."
