Four Afghan citizens were taken into custody in Peshawar by the Federal Investigation Agency on allegations of acquiring fraudulent Pakistani Computerised National Identity Cards and passports.
Officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Peshawar targeted a hostel located in Shaheen Town following intelligence gathered by the regional Peshawar Zone. The agency stated that the individuals resided at Spin Ghar Hostel and relied on middlemen to illegally acquire the paperwork.
Authorities named the detained suspects as Siddiqullah, Rehmatullah, Abdullah and Nasir, confirming all four hold Afghan citizenship.
During the operation, investigators seized photocopies of Pakistani identity cards containing pictures. During initial interrogations, the detainees admitted they secured the credentials via an intermediary known as Talat or Peer, and they failed to present a legal Pakistani visa.
The agency filed Case No. 208/2026 against the group at the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle office in Peshawar. The legal complaints include Sections 419, 420, 468, 471 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, as well as Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
