Medical professionals across Balochistan will begin a province-wide strike on November 1, backed fully by the Pakistan Medical Association chapter in the region. The job action opposes what the association describes as unfair taxes levied on physicians by the Federal Board of Revenue and the Balochistan Revenue Authority.

Dr Zarak Muhammad Shahi, the general secretary of the Pakistan Medical Association, led a collaborative session that brought together multiple medical groups to finalize the protest plans.

During the gathering, attendees reviewed the upcoming strike alongside other pressing matters affecting the health department of the province.
