autoridades provinciales cleared the creation of the Nawaz Sharif Medical District at the Lahore Sharif Institute of Orthopedics, Spine and Rehabilitation with a budget of Rs 18,786 million, according to a recent decision by the Provincial Development Working Party.
Dr. Naeem Rauf, who leads the P and D Board Punjab, directed the 11th meeting of the current financial year where officials gave approval to this healthcare initiative alongside nine other schemes with a collective value of Rs 60 billion.
Officials stated that the new medical district will enhance specialized care for spine, orthopedic, and rehabilitation patients in Lahore while boosting advanced treatment availability.
Participants at the session included P and D Board Secretary Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Dr. Farrukh Naveed, other board members, and department officers.
