Jack Grealish, the 31-year-old England winger on loan from Manchester City, spent two consecutive nights drinking in London and Cheshire before Everton warned him of a discipline breach.
He began the first night on a Monday, staying late at BAM Karaoke Box in Victoria, London, after attending the Pride of Britain Awards at the Grosvenor House hotel.
The following night he travelled back to the North West and joined friends at The Mucky Pup Irish bar in Wilmslow, later moving to a ten-pin bowling alley in Altrincham, near the £6 million house he shares with Sasha Attwood.
The two-day binge occurred on October 19 and 20, a week before Everton announced Grealish would miss a match due to a "discipline issue." Earlier, he had missed a game against Arsenal because he was ill.
An insider said Grealish was "in great spirits after the awards and went out into London with a couple of mates. He got to BAM very late and stayed there until the early hours. They had several drinks, sang some songs and headed off very late. He looked like he was having a brilliant time."
He returned home early Tuesday morning and, according to sources, attended Everton training later that day.
That evening he was spotted drinking at the Mucky Pup with teammates Jordan Pickford and Tyler Dibling and former England and City teammate Kyle Walker. One onlooker noted they were watching the PSG v Barcelona match in a private back room, "in good spirits and there were a lot of drinks being knocked back by all of them, including Jack."
After being omitted from Everton's Carabao Cup win over Newcastle, manager David Moyes said, "The club made the decision and I support it." Grealish has made six appearances this season without scoring, and Everton have not confirmed if he will feature in tomorrow's Premier League match at Newcastle.
