Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab stated on Wednesday that neutering alone fails to solve the rising problem of stray dog attacks, demanding immediate action. Officials have gathered reports regarding dog bites affecting elderly citizens, women, and men, according to the mayor. He underscored that authorities need a practical strategy rather than passing the blame to different organizations.
Wahab mentioned Turkey and its choice to cull stray dogs, pointing out that the Karachi administration would encounter opposition if it followed that path. Public safety needs to come before political arguments, he stated, while asking the media to assist in forming agreement on workable steps to safeguard residents from rabies risks and dog bites.
