Meta recently introduced Style Sketch, an artificial intelligence fashion application designed to help people assemble clothing combinations using apparel they already possess. By linking with Instagram, the application creates a virtual wardrobe from previously shared pictures, or permits manual additions through photos, short videos, or uploads from camera rolls.

According to the application description, Style Sketch generates clothing pairings suited to individual tastes. Users are then able to view the outfits on a "realistic model matched to your body shape and skin tone."

Social media consultant Matt Navarra initially discovered the application, which is currently accessible for iOS and Android devices in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

TechCrunch reached out to Meta for comment, but received no response. It remains unclear whether Meta intends to roll out Style Sketch to a broader audience.

Multiple applications currently use artificial intelligence to assist people in digitizing clothing collections and seeing new outfits, including startup companies like Alta. Google Photos likewise provides features allowing individuals to convert clothing pictures into digital closets for outfit creation.

To rival existing market offerings, Meta will likely depend more on the integration with Instagram, where people maintain visual logs of personal fashion, rather than just the novelty of the concept.

The application description explains that instead of depending on arbitrary recommendations, individuals can pick a particular piece from their closet to receive new clothing ideas centered around it.

Additionally, the application assists with vacation planning. By providing a destination, duration, and scheduled events, individuals receive daily clothing schedules that factor in local weather predictions and itineraries.

Style Sketch represents just one of numerous artificial intelligence applications released by Meta in recent months. The firm recently debuted Waddle World, a program resembling a Tamagotchi version powered by artificial intelligence. Meta also introduced Pocket, a utility for vibe-coding games, alongside Vibes for fast artificial intelligence video generation.

This series of application releases forms part of a wider initiative at Meta to publish an increased number of programs. The Wall Street Journal noted earlier in the year that CEO Mark Zuckerberg informed staff members about plans to distribute significantly more applications than in the past, because artificial intelligence improvements have accelerated the shipping process.
