Punjab is set to digitise special education in order to simplify classroom instruction and broaden learning chances for children with disabilities.
Director General of Special Education Shoaib Khan Jadoon outlined the scheme in a meeting with a Punjab Information Technology Board delegation, where they discussed the rollout of digital teaching aids and upgraded facilities.
The plan calls for the creation of classroom learning modules that align with international benchmarks, as well as the transformation of textbooks into easier digital versions to help disabled pupils obtain materials more readily.
In addition, teachers and school personnel will undergo training to enhance their capabilities, and a cutting-edge in-house studio is proposed for producing educational videos.
Jadoon stated that technology would enable equal educational opportunities for children with disabilities and emphasized that equipping them for modern requirements remains a priority.
To realise these goals, the department intends to launch a simpler, more efficient teaching system backed by digital resources.
