Federal Investigation Agency officers in Rawalpindi detained a man accused of swindling a citizen out of Rs545,000 by promising employment in Malaysia.
Authorities from the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle took the suspect, named Muhammad Yaqoob, into custody within Rawalpindi. An agency representative stated that the arrest falls under FIR No. 83/2026.
Inspector Iqra Jahangir and FC Atif Sajjad executed the operation, with Inspector Jahangir directing the ongoing inquiry.
The representative noted that investigators will examine whether other persons participated in the scam as the case develops.
