Households could experience gas interruptions during the upcoming winter because demand outstrips supply, featuring a planned timetable restricting fuel delivery to only eight hours every twenty-four hours. Insiders report that the Ministry of Petroleum finished preparing the winter gas allocation plan and will present the issue to the prime minister shortly.

Under the suggested plan, residential users will get gas strictly during morning, afternoon, and evening meal times, while service will likely face disruption during the other hours, insiders noted. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company will publish distinct timetables for their designated areas.

Figures show that Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited currently delivers 487 million cubic feet of gas per day to households, whereas Sui Southern distributes 286 million cubic feet daily to residential users. At the same time, higher liquefied petroleum gas costs might also present difficulties for buyers, alongside worries about restricted winter gas availability.

Yet, authorities have not issued any formal statement concerning the final endorsement and enforcement of the suggested gas distribution timetable.
