Government land valued at roughly Rs. 1.3 trillion has been taken back by the Capital Development Authority during intensified anti-encroachment operations across Islamabad, according to recent statements.

Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi directed these actions, which CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf directed, seeking to shield public property from unlawful seizure and clear barriers holding back structured city growth.

Around 600 acres of state property close to the Prime Minister's House were retrieved by the CDA, officials noted. Furthermore, 1,135 kanals of land were restored in Sector E-12, allowing long-delayed development work to restart after decades of stagnation.

Unlawful commercial buildings sitting on 116.8 kanals of property were torn down by the agency in Sector C-17. At the same time, five plazas situated along Murree Road in Malpur were cleared during the campaign, while work to retake an extra 108 kanals in that location continues.

Property files, ownership titles, and applicable legal procedures are currently being reviewed by the authority as part of the campaign. The initiative intends to protect state assets and clear out obstacles blocking structured urban growth in Islamabad, the agency stated.

Organising the capital and turning it into an environmentally friendly urban center free of encroachments remains a priority for the CDA, which noted that locals have praised the retrieval of public property and the restart of delayed projects.
