OnePlus quietly posted its new Buds Pro 4 wireless earbuds on the brand's global site, highlighting better sound, stronger noise cancellation and a suite of AI functions.
The earbuds promise up to 53 hours of total playtime with the charging case, and they support AI translation, Google Gemini and wireless charging. Two colour finishes are confirmed, though price and launch date remain undisclosed.
Design and Audio
Each Buds Pro 4 earbud houses an 11 mm woofer for bass and a 6 mm tweeter for treble, with separate digital-to-analog converters for each driver. The audio system was co-developed with Danish firm Dynaudio.
OnePlus says the new design delivers 50% stronger bass than the Buds Pro 3. The earbuds also support Hi-Res Audio via LHDC 5.0, enabling up to 24-bit/192 kHz playback on compatible devices.
Additional features include Spatial Audio with head-tracking, and Golden Sound, which tailors audio settings to the user's hearing profile. The Buds Pro 4 are offered in Titanium Shadow and Polar White and carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, though the case lacks the same protection.
Noise Cancellation and AI Features
OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 4 cut background noise at twice the level of the previous generation, using adaptive active noise cancellation that adjusts to the environment.
Each earbud contains three microphones and a vibration sensor to boost call quality in noisy settings. AI Live Translation can translate spoken dialogue when paired with compatible OnePlus phones.
Users can also access Google's Gemini assistant for voice-driven AI interactions, employ Dolby-based Clear Audio Recording, and receive posture reminders via Neck Health monitoring. Gaming latency may drop to as low as 39 ms with supported OnePlus phones, and the earbuds can connect to two devices at once.
Battery and Charging
OnePlus highlights battery life as a key strength. The earbuds alone can deliver up to 13 hours of music without noise cancellation, extending to 53 hours when the case is included.
Activating ANC reduces combined playback to 26 hours with AAC audio. A 10-minute charge is said to add up to 14 hours of listening, and the case supports wireless charging.
Price and Availability
The Buds Pro 4 are listed on OnePlus's global site, but official pricing, launch timing and market availability have not been announced.
They will be sold in Titanium Shadow and Polar White. Design cues resemble those of the Oppo Enco X4, which sells for about $255 in Europe, though this does not confirm OnePlus's pricing.
Further details are expected when OnePlus issues a formal launch announcement.
