Pakistan International Airlines restarted direct flights between Pakistan and China on October 30, bringing back the Islamabad to Beijing service after halting operations earlier this year. The carrier plans to run one weekly flight every Friday under the updated timetable.

According to the airline, the renewed connection offers travelers a direct path between the two capitals. Management also intends to provide competitive ticket prices and keep consistent operations going in China.

To widen its reach within the country, Pakistan International Airlines boosted ties with three large Chinese carriers, namely Air China, Shenzhen Airlines, and Hainan Airlines.

Travelers flying with Pakistan International Airlines can reach various domestic locations via Beijing through the partnership with Air China, using the major aviation center.

Back in April, the airline halted Beijing flights due to continuous spikes in jet fuel costs. At the same time, the company stopped its Kuala Lumpur route to cut down on expenses.

The carrier stated previously that it absorbed the higher fuel expenses rather than charging travelers the full amount, choosing internal measures instead. This restarted Friday schedule brings back the direct connection following an interruption lasting almost seven months.
