Saudi Arabia is encouraging businesses within the Kingdom to recruit a higher volume of Pakistani workers, stated the chairman of a Pakistani overseas employment agency.

Issam Baig, head of Jan Mohammad & Sons, noted that representatives from multiple large Saudi enterprises shared during his visits to Riyadh and Jeddah that government authorities urged them to hire more individuals from Pakistan.

"They have told us that they have been told and pushed by Riyadh and their ministries to accommodate more Pakistanis," Baig told Arab News.

Three to Four Big Companies

Baig mentioned that three or four large Saudi firms shared identical information, describing the situation as encouraging for diplomatic relations and Pakistani job seekers.

He emphasized that Pakistan needs to supply qualified professionals to maintain this confidence. "We should uphold that trust by sending them quality manpower," he said.

Saudi Arabia Leads Overseas Jobs

Saudi Arabia continues to be the primary location for citizens seeking employment abroad. Figures from the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment indicate that out of 1.87 million Pakistanis who registered for international positions from January 2024 through September 2026, over 1.21 million headed to the Kingdom, accounting for nearly 65 percent.

Registrations for the Kingdom climbed from 426,951 in 2023 to 452,648 in 2024, and reached 530,437 in 2025. During the initial nine months of 2026, total registrations stood at 258,178.

An official from the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment stated that authorities are analyzing Middle Eastern shifts to grasp current hiring patterns and formulate future forecasts.

Gulf nations provide jobs for millions of citizens from Pakistan and represent a vital inflow of foreign money. Pakistan brought in a record $41.6 billion in remittances during FY26.

State officials also indicated earlier in the year that securing employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia would become simpler for Pakistani nationals.
