Television producer Richard Osman revealed a secret contingency plan involving a different tournament style and an extra prize fund if the Beat Luke Littler challenge concludes early tonight in Manchester. Twenty amateurs will throw darts against nineteen year old Luke Littler in a single leg format at Manchester Central, broadcast live on Netflix from 7pm.
If a challenger defeats Littler immediately, the £501,000 jackpot goes to them and the main contest ends. Osman explained that an alternative format with another pot of money will start if the early matches finish the main event too quickly. The amateur lineup features players such as Fallon Sherrock and fifteen year old Mitchell Lawrie.
