Islamabad will receive its first theme park after Saudi investors agreed to fund the project, a memorandum of understanding signed on Oct. 25, 2026. The venture aims to broaden entertainment options in the capital and boost tourism and investment.

The MoU was executed at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, chair of the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council, and Sohail Ashraf, chair of the Capital Development Authority. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was present at the signing.

According to the agreement, Saudi backers will supply the financing while the CDA will allocate land for construction. The government also pledged to facilitate and protect the investors.

Naqvi stated that Islamabad's infrastructure is being upgraded to resemble modern cities and called the theme park a key project for the capital. Prince Mansour emphasized Pakistan's investment prospects, especially in Islamabad.

Officials have not disclosed the park's site, total cost, design or timeline for building. The deal represents an early step, with more details required to gauge when the park might open to the public.
