A major British indoor waterpark will shut down next week and remain closed until early next year.

Aqua Park located in Stoke-on-Trent normally operates throughout the entire year, but management announced a temporary shutdown for upgrade work starting next week.

As part of the Waterworld complex, the facility will shut its doors starting November 2 and stay closed until early next year.

Management arranged a final celebration named the Last Splash party on November 1 ahead of the shutdown, featuring a DJ playing music from 12pm until 4pm.

Operators kept specific details about the overhaul mostly under wraps, though the venue currently features 30 distinct rides and attractions.

The official website posted a message explaining that staff look forward to greeting guests again with exciting upgrades.

Waterworld Leisure Resort Managing Director Wayne Goodall stated, Our closing party is the perfect chance for visitors to make a last splash with us before we close for a short time to make exciting changes across the Aqua Park.

He added, At its heart, Waterworld offers families a place to spend time together, escape from everyday life and enjoy that holiday feeling, whatever the weather.

Goodall also mentioned, The upgrades we have planned are set to build on that sense of fun and enhance the way we tell our story, creating a more immersive experience for our guests.

He concluded, We can't wait to reveal more about the upcoming investment soon.

While the Aqua Park undergoes its transformation, the Adventure Mini Golf and Adventure Mini Village sections will continue operating for guests.

Operating since 1989, Waterworld maintains a constant temperature of 30C and houses various slides including Cyclone, Hurricane, and Stormchaser.

Visitors can also enjoy racing slides and a water rollercoaster.

Guests seeking a calmer experience can unwind in the wave pool or bubble pools instead of thrill rides.

Additional amenities feature a rapids section, hot tubs, and a dedicated splash zone for children.
