Chinese developer and publisher S-Game is bringing Phantom Blade Zero to players on October 29, 2026, just two days away. Even before its launch, the Wuxia-themed action-RPG that mixes third-person combat with Soulslike and Metroidvania elements has secured the number two position on Steam's Global Top Sellers list.
Massive Steam Sales and Revenue
Phantom Blade Zero currently heads the Global Selling Steam Games chart. The title is beating major hits like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Cyberpunk 2077, which saw a recent sales bump from a free 2.5 update. It also outperforms free-to-play games such as Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, AION 2, and PUBG Battlegrounds.
While the developer has not shared official sales totals, Alinea Analytics estimates that the game surpassed 500,000 copies sold on Steam by October 21. This sales milestone brings S-Game about $24 million in revenue. Pre-launch indicators also point to strong performance on the PlayStation 5.
Stellar Reviews and Reception
The sales surge arrived after critics published their reviews. On OpenCritic, Phantom Blade Zero holds a Top Critic Average of 91 and a 100 percent critic recommendation score, making it the fifth highest-rated game of 2026 on the site.
Nick Rodriguez from GameRant gave the game a 9 out of 10 in his review, calling the action-RPG a clear step forward for S-Game and a mandatory experience for action fans.
Phantom Blade Zero Editions and Launch Details
S-Game initially teased the game in 2016 and fully unveiled it at the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase. Gamers can now pre-order two digital versions for PC and PlayStation 5.
