A ball boy required a stretcher to leave the Vienna Open after falling ill during a match.

During the early phase of the quarter-final between Daniil Medvedev and Adrian Mannarino, the child collapsed in the middle of a point.

Adrian Mannarino was serving at 0-2 and 40-30 when umpire Manuel Messina saw the ball boy fall and halted the match.

Manuel Messina, Adrian Mannarino, and Daniil Medvedev approached the child to inspect his condition while someone supplied a bottle of water.

Medical personnel promptly treated him, secured him to a stretcher, and carried him away from the playing area.
